昨日、国立でU23代表のオリンピック最終予選UAE戦を観てきました。まあ、その前のレバノン戦もみていたんですが。今回のオリンピック代表はなんかストーリーとして出来過ぎちゃってて、テレビ局はウハウハだったんだろうなあと思います。
さて、昨日の試合なんですが、非常に寒かった。霧雨と一昨日との気温差でUAEはかなり動きが鈍く、まあ、それまでの試合結果も要因かもしれないけど本当に良さが出ていなかった。たぶん同じアラブ系の他国も同じ状況だったかもしれないので、結果的には日本にとても有利に働いたんでは思う。
自分的には生で見ていて驚いたのは今野のポジショニングの良さだった。ボールが無いところでの動きは常に２〜３人くらいマークしながら期を見てカバーリング＆アタックをかけていく。連戦でのスタミナもさることながら、とてもクレバーな選手だった。
それにしても大久保よかったね〜。記者会見で素直に自分の言葉で発するところも見ている方としては嬉しいです。
今野は岡ちゃんが札幌時代に見いだしたらしい。那須のボランチ起用といい、手腕を発揮してるなあ。
